Loss of job though being unable to find accomodation

my step daughter is 21 single and 12 weeks pregnant, she lives approx 20 miles from us and works part time 15-20 hours a week for minimum wage and cannot drive, however she has to leave her accommodation and has been unable to find any in the area she has been living in, she is coming to live with us for a while as it is her only option, however she will not be able to keep her job as there is no train or bus service that can get her there and we have 3 children living at home so cannot transport her to and from work (also it just wouldnt be cost effective to drive 80 miles for her to earn £24!) my question is will she be able to claim jsa or any benefit as she has left the job herself, or is that classed as making herself intentionally unemployed?

if she can prove good cause there should'nt be a problem. The claim is processed and put into payment while Decision Maker looks at why she left her job. They will take factors into account like what efforts she made to find alternative accommodation in the area, or find a job in the area she was moving to.0

I thought there must be some sort of provision for this type of situation, part of the problem is that its a very touristy area she lives in so accomodation is hard to find as tourists pay more for b & b than lodgers do for a room, she was going to move in with the babies father to give herself more time to find other acomodation but he has been very nasty to her and this clearly wont work so its home to the 'wicked step mother' she comes!Member 1145 Sealed Pot Challenge No4
