Thomsons are giving me an extra 5k luggage allowance, but it's unclear whether this is in the hold or carry on. On the letter from Thomson it goes on about the box being a certain size and shape to fit in the over-head locker, but the woman and man in the shop say it would only be in the hold, so who knows!

My dress is going in a cabin-size case and will be handcuffed to my brothers arm! ;)

It is NOT going in the hold if I have anything to do with it............. which I won't because he is bringing it out 3 days after I get there! :(
If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.

    Eeeeshk!!! you're brave!

I would do this too and have it as my hand luggage, but i'm taking all my felt and button flowers out in a big cosmetics case thingy that will have to be my hand luggage :( I guess i could make my mum and sister bring those out later, but i don't think i can relenquish control of any of this stuff!

    Hi,

I've seen some companies on the net that sell wedding dress boxes made to the size of each of the airlines hand luggage requirements, which might be worth looking at. If anyone goes on the same flight as me I might get them to carry my hand luggage so I can have my dress as mine. "No madam no one has asked me to carry anything on board for them:rotfl:"

Once the holidays are released for next Sept then we will book straigh away so will see about extra luggage. Joho will watch out for you!
