How accurate are the turn2us and entitled to calculators?

I just done ours and it's off by about £17.00 per week. Does this mean we will have an overpayment?
All income is given as is the same to tax credits.

Have you had any changes this year? Eg if you reported a drop in income it could have taken a few weeks to process it so you might be getting more as some is "back pay".
Or did your payments change much after they processed the renewal in May/June time? Between April and when they process the renewal you'll be paid at the previous year's rates on 2 years old income, when they process it they'll adjust your payments for the rest of the year to make up for any initial underpayment (or overpayment).
You need to compare your total TCs over the whole year from April with the amount quoted on turn2us etc.0 -
The Turn2us benefit checker provides estimated entitlement to tax credits. However, because of the way tax credits work the amount you actually receive may be different from the amount given.
If you already receive tax credits but get a different amount to that shown in the calculator, then there is the option to overwrite the estimate with the amount you actually receive so we can work out your benefit entitlement correctly.“Verified Representative

HMRC gives what you'd get from now to the end of the tax year - so about half a year's worth! That probably explains it...0
