halifax to b.o.s transfer help

Hi there I need to transfer money to someone who has a halifax account. I was wanting to know if anyone knows if it'll got through instantly to his account if I send it from my bank of scotland? I know if I send it from b.o.s to b.o.s its instant, and bank of scotland to any other accounts is normally 3-5 working days but i was just wondering because halifax and b.o.s seem to be the same bank(i think). It would save me a trip into town tomorrow, and help appreciated. thanks

Provided it is a personal account and not a business account it should go through immediately.
If it is a business account then you may have to do either a fast payment or cash deposit for it to show straight away - hope that helps you!0
