Activation Key code for Football Manager 2009

Hi,
I bought second hand Football Manager 2009 from CEX and it won't work without an activation code - it came without the manual - can anyone help me? I have looked online but can't find it either - thought I was saving money by buying a second hand game but unless I have the code, I just wasted more!!
