Hello,
In your initial post you said the root cause was a fault at the top of the pole, you shouldn't be charged for this. With regards to compensation we only offer this for a total loss fault and the first 48hours isn't covered.
If you reply to the agent your dealing with they should be able to add the compensation.

Hi, I have just posted about TalkTalk in a message directly to the company representative. My broadband has had very very low speeds to the point where it's useless since Friday morning. My line is with Sky Talk but my broadband is with Tiscali (TalkTalk). I have found it a nightmare to work out what the problem is, because since the TalkTalk person checked the line at some point during the middle of the night on sunday, I have had no phone service. Trying to get Sky Talk to help has been a nightmare. I have been out and bought a microfilter. Seeing the OP's situation has made me realise that there may well be a problem even thought everyone is saying there isn't one. Today was my 5th day without broadband (whilst I've had low speeds, I just can't do anything, it won't load websites properly if at all). I'll stick to my guns!0

yes do ,they kept saying my line was fine ,it was my phone ,good job i didn't go buy a new one ,but bt said there was a break in the line ,he fixed it and now im all good ,talktalk just don't want to send engineers out0 -
When will people ever realise that Talktalk are total and utter rubbish and the "talktalk reps" that arrive on hear uttering unhelpful and meaningless drivel are as useful as spammers.......
If everyone sensibly voted with the feet and left Talktalk as quickly as possible, they wouldn't be such arrogant creatures......0
