Proof of financial hardship against Blackhorse
Hi Everyone
Can anybody help me with this..... Over the past 5 years Blackhorse finance have had me listed on my credit file at the wrong address and also as deceased, this all started back in 2006 when my mum passed away, I settled everything off with them but for some reason they never updated my credit file, late last year I noticed this and imidiately notified them, they amended my credit file and admitted liability for there error. I asked about claiming for the hardship and the distress that this has caused, I duly responded with a letter and some supporting evidence ie: copies of my credit files and rejection letters, with this I also explained that due to there error on my file I am currently paying a slightly higher mortgage interest rate and also credit card rate to reflect my credit score at the time, however trying to prove this I found impossible. Subsiquantly I received a letter back from Blackhorse with the offer of just £500, in response to this I immediately contacted a solicitor to look into taking this further, however before they can quantify my losses and hardship over the past 5 years I need to somehow provide documentary evidence on the interest rates on the mortgages, credit cards and any additional loans I have to compare against my agreements, however the relevant companies will not assist me with what I need. Can anybody come up with any suggestions of what I can do next please because this is now starting to really get me down!!!:(

I would suggest that you SAR each company that you want the information from - it will cost you £10 for each one - ask them for the interest rates on each product - they have to respond within 40 days.0

Hi
Can you please explain what an SAR is?0 -
Statutory Access Request - basically they have to provide everything they hold about you to you for the £10 fee.0
