How can we fight the price hikes

Erm no, that's why people get so het up about it I imagine.
The best advice I can come up with is shop around, if everyone did this at least it might make them all a little keener on thier prices.Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0 -
Hi im new to this and its probably been posted before but is there anything Joe Public can do to fight the constant rises in utility bills etc.?
There's not a lot you can do other than compare and switch (if appropriate)
Although I'm not sure it's correct to suggest there are constant price rises. The previous two general price changes were actually reductions in about March 2010 and October 2009"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Write to the regulators (yes, I know, stop smirking) and politicians (ditto) to campaign against social tariffs and free meter changes and mutliple variable tariffs and direct debit discounts and time penalties on variable tariffs and free visits to prepayment meters. Demand stringent and brutal late payment penalites (to replace discounts) and demand all suppliers must charge for meter replacement etcetera.
Unfortunately most of what is required for more equitable prices will not happen. And most of the campaigners for change are calling for less fair pricing.0
