What type of food are you looking for and what sort of budget are you considering?

Talbot Green (5 mins off J34) offers Brooke's (overpriced bistro;)) Trattoria (Italian) sit down Indian (name I can't remember) and also the Castell Mynach or the Barn (pubs doing good food)

Finally you have the Long Bow (Beefeater)

There's also the Red Lion in Pendoylan - only a couple of miles from J34 - and the Caesar's Arms in Creigiau - maybe 4 miles from J34. There's also Sullivan's in old Llantrisant.

Went to its' replacement on SAturday - La Luna.
Not cheap but well worth it - excellent quality food and wine.

these are some of my fave places, in no particular order.
bryngarw house, at brynmenyn, 5 mins from sarn junction of m4. they do a fab set menu at reasonable prices and often do special offers of dinner, bed, breakfast for about £35. check website for latest deals.
la Prado in laleston, is loverly rustic feel and fresh food.
loch fyne near cowbridge on a48, is loverly fish resturant and the website has good deals.
market place in cowbridge is fantastic and has a great menu for both lite bites to evening meals, it has a loverly room upstairs if you require room for a private function,.
    hope this helps
Making small changes, hoping they will last....
