    Not problem scottishminnie - and I can answer that question and say yes! In fact I cooked some tonight and it's cooling as we speak ready to go in the freezer
  • In response to OP, I would roast them and freeze the roasties.

    Jumping on the mash bandwagon... how do you freeze yours? In lumps the size of a portion? Flat portions on a tray open freeze then in bags? Or in big lumps for a few person portion? I like the idea but I've never frozen mash before.

    excellent - I predict lots of little tubs of mash now which will make life so much easier.

    no idea about the OP's problem but...I used to freeze mash in the little plastic ikea cups with some film over the top. Stacked nicely in the freezer and always did perfectly to top a 2 person cottage pie :)
