Please does anyone know, if you change your computer are you able to put this onto the new one if you have already used the two licences that it comes with?
Many thanks.

Did you uninstall Office from the old computer(s)?
In any event, try it - and prepare for the possibility of having to ring Microsoft Licensing to explain yourself if it doesn't work. They have been known to be quite helpful, assuming you did uninstall it.0 -

No, I am just looking to buy it for my son (the student version) and wondered if he puts it on his laptop and also on our home computer if it will be OK to put it on another computer in the future.
Also, do you know if when you purchase the student version of Office you actually get a hard copy sent to you?Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -

I've got the 2007 student version which was about £40.00, you have the option to get the DVD for an extra £9.00 which covered the postage and the cost of the DVD which I would recomend. You can use this on 1 desktop and on one portable device (laptop).
You can uninstall it on the old pc's and reinstall it on new ones.
Hope this helps.
If he is a student he might need the Harvard reference style which can be installed very easily, if you need a hand with that drop me an email.Debt target: £19,000.00

On a small side note
If you have not as yet bought the software, google software4students and have a look on there
I was pointed in their direction by a kind person on here when I was looking for Office for my niece (in 6th form). Got Office Pro Plus 2010 for about £40 with two licences. One for the desktop and one for the laptop. HAd no problems with them
I have had to do something similar with Vista when I bought Ultimate and had to re-install it. It was a phone call to Microsoft who asked what I was doing and why. Just explained I had reformatted and reinstalled and it was only installed on one machine. Once they had confirmed that, they happily gave me the activation number. I would presume this is the sameThere are 10 kinds of people that understand binary
