Asda Flowers.....Beware!!!!

Following a recommendation on this site, I ordered a Valentine's bouquet (12 roses) and balloon on 8th February. To ensure delivery on Valentine's Day (Monday) I paid for courier delivery.
I tried to order from several other flower retailers, but for whatever reason, they were unable to process my order. Asda were my 4th or 5th choice.
The flowers did not turn up on Monday. I decided to go and buy some locally to save World War 3 from breaking out!!
The bouquet was delivered on Tuesday, and more problems. The roses were all wilted and the petal edges were blackened....looks like cold damage. The delivery sticker said the bouquet was sent out on Friday 11th.
After being passed around here and there, I managed to speak to Lee, a senior customer manager at Asda Flowers, who tried to refund only the flowers. I have insisted on a full refund.
I will update this thread with any news, but a poor experience with Asda Flowers. Regardless of the outcome, it will be my last.
Updates to follow.

Latest update-Oh dear, Asda Flowers..........you have failed on this one. Absolutely no joy in obtaining a full refund from them. Their staff told me I could get a 50% refund, and despite telling them I was rejecting the items under UK consumer law, they have persisted. So, I'm going to name and shame the staff at Asda Flowers who, in turn, have tried to fob me off and denied me my statutory rights as a consumer:
Nosiphiwo, Lorata, Lee (who told me he is a Senior Colleague at Asda Flowers)Mariam and Roxanne- you have failed a customer and left me with a poor impression of Asda Flowers. I will not be shopping here again. More updates when I have more info.0 -
Hot off the press- called Asda's main customer services on 0800-9520101. Spoke to a very nice man named Matthew who seemed to understand my situation and stated I would get a full refund. He is going to call me back tonight. I then received a call from Irfaan at Asda Flowers, who asked me to explain AGAIN what had happened. I am normally a patient person, but I've had enough of this, I'm tired of repeating myself and I told him that I will only speak to a senior manager.
I thought it was easy to buy a bunch of flowers................................0 -
Back again.....with an update................Firstly, some praise.*************Matthew H. who works in Asda Customer Services****************you are a credit to the company and I only wish I had spoken to you from the outset. Called me back as promised and was sympathetic to my situation. Advised that a full refund would be processed. I later received a call from someone at Asda Flowers, who would not let me have their name (?) and was again asking me to explain the problem with my order. Needless to say they didn't get much joy!
I'll keep this thread running until I get my money back.0 -
What a disgrace!! Gancy offering you a partial refund. I think that Asda have got a cheek, i'm glad you're getting a full refund. Well done.!!0
