No thanks I'm a miserable beggar, detest this form of fund raising Those who can afford the most get something back for their "donation" The widow's mite, which is often quite a bit of a sacrifice, gets absolutely nothing. I know lots of the charities do it, and obviously they must raise a fair bit, but it puts me off completely. I'd much prefer a " make a donation and we'll enter you in a raffle" situation.
