cavity insulation - material brand

Hi Experts,
I am planning for the cavity wall insulation and I got couple of quotes from the insulation companies. I haven't asked for the material brand they use but what I understand from the Energy saving trust, most of the suppliers has the same U value around 0.4. Does anyone know which brand will be good or any recommendation?
Some of the brands I come across: Knauf, rockwool, Isover, InstaFibre, EcoBead
Thanks VJ.

Does it make any difference? As long as it does the job. Its hardly high end engineering is it?Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Firstly it does not really matter because they will be all very similar.
As the amount (the thickness) cant be changed (presumed to be 50mm) you need to look at the K value of the product not the U Value (that is calculated using the K value and assumptions about your existing walls).
The lower the K value the better.0 -
As you will never see the product after its installation, the only thing that matters is what is the insulation value, of the product you choose.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
The wool materials are better in the sense that should you ever need to change a window/drill a vent hole etc through your wall, the insualtion material wont end up flying out of the wall.
We tend to use white/mineral wool or a variation of in the majority of properties£2 Savers Club #156!
Looking for holiday ideas for 2016. Currently, Isle of Skye in March, Riga in May, Crete in June and Lake District in October. August cruise cancelled, but Baby due September 2016! :j0 -
Thanks for all your details. I found the British gas is doing a free loft or cavity insulation for the dual energy customers so I applied for the free cavity insulation from them.0
