I think you'll need to refine your question a bit. What sort of problems? - TV, broadband, telephone, mobile, billing, customer support? Give us a clue...0

No I think the opening question was a good enough one, problems with virgin media
With my dealings with them, I had nothing but.............if they were the last broadband provider in the world I would go back to dial upThere are 10 kinds of people that understand binary
Those that do
Those that dont

Same situation here. I told them to shove it a few years back due to a very poor broadband experience. Using the (upto) 20mb package I was getting dial-up speeds and that was only if I was lucky to get a connection.
We called customer services every day for 3 weeks with the promise that someone would get back to us, never happened. Eventually, a month after I moved to a new ISP, I got a call from an engineer while I was at work on a priority call. I asked him to stay with me as I had a server with a faulty RAID array. On finding out I worked on a similar line he told me that the contention ratio (basically number of potential demands to the actual bandwidth) in my area was 300:1 (it should only ever be between 25 - 50:1) and that the network essentially couldn't handle the traffic. He also warned me that their execs had been warned about this and NOT to push the lines with a soon-to-be 50mb package which they chose to ignore and go with anyway.
I imagine this wasn't an isolated case.0 -
I love my 50meg connection and wouldn't dream of changing.
I think most people have the same experience with Virgin; when their product works, it is streets ahead of the competition.
When there's a problem, the same cannot be said for their customer service.
It is improving, though; it's better now than it was a couple of years ago and is definitely an improvement over the legacy companies (I was an ntl customer; now there was a lousy support service!)I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -
yup, I sporadically have problems with VM, poor connection speed, massive pings, sometimes refusing to work. I can go months with a stable connection and then the speed will drop to an appaling level. When I get through to someone with half a brain the blame it on DNS issues or the like..hmm0

Are you in a cabled area or going via BT lines?"...IT'S FRUITY!"0

We're near Camberley in Surrey, and for the most part we have a good service off them on our 10 meg connection, but very occasionally it drops a lot, nearly resulted in my missing a Times Ipad entry today!!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
