is skype any good for making pc to landline calls? Mostly quality, and is it secure well as secure can be? i mean is it as good as using your landline to landline?

yes, quality is very good so long as your internet conction is up to it.

Exceptionally good value for making international calls, calling from overseas (all at local rates) and conference calling (multiple people together).

plus as its subscription free / PAYG essentially so long as you make the occasional call once every 3 months or so to keep your credit alive can't go far wrong...

(I recommend getting a headset with old fasioned 3.5mm headphone jacks rather than a USB one tho if you want less PC audio hassles)

Haven't used Skype for PC to landline as there are cheaper methods available, both for domestic and international calls. Do use it for international PC to PC conversations though, and once you get used to the time delay it's acceptable considering it's free!:)
As it utilises Voice over IP, I would say the quality will not be as good as a landline to landline call, but shouldn't be any worse than a Skype to Skype call.
As for security, unless you are discussing state secrets, I wouldn't have a great concern. I'm sure it's not as secure as direct landline calls, but if somebody wants to monitor that they will anyway.
