Hey there
Dont have any advice as such but I also dont have the best credit history (go to the dfw board lol) but Im currently with Nationwide who are fine although wouldnt give me an electron card even though I've been an angel with them, so only yesterday applied to the alliance and leicester for one of there online accounts and they have accepted me and also giving me a chq book & electron card, I actually turned down the 0% overdraft with them
Hope thats of some help to you

I agree, try A&L. A good account too. Try and get somebody who already has one to recommend you for an extra 50 notes.0 -
I'll try that - thanks!0

If you cannot get accepted for a standard current account, you could always apply for a basic account. If you go with a set number of banks you will get an account with a debit card, and all the usual frills excluding any form of credit ofc

Most of the banks do Basic Bank accounts, I can get a current acc but my hubby can't so we have a joint basic account and he has a saving acc that has a debit card and I have a student acc with chq book and switch card. Natwest & Co-Op do basic account with debit cards if you do decide to go down the basic account road.£2 Coin Savers Club (Christmas)- £86£1 Jar (Christmas)- £29Christmas Vouchers Saved: £1450
