Hi all,
I'm looking at the possibility of being redundant at the end of May. There is the chance that i could be offered a one month trial of a different post within the organisation with the option to still take my redundancy if i dont like the new post or they dont like me for it (iyswim!) The new post would be with effect from 1st June and as i would have acheived another years service on 11th June i am wondering whether i would be entitled to the extra years redundancy pay if i were to still invoke this option?
Hope you can understand what i mean!

THe relevant date used for redundacy calculations
The termination date OR if statutory notice would take you to a date beyond thats the date.
Statutory notice is one week per year.
Some companies will use contractual notice for the calculation.
Trial periods do not count towards redundacy relevent date
If the planned termination is end of May and you have worked notice then looks like you are going to miss out.
If getting paid PILON then the year will count(unless you have been there less than 2 years).0 -

Hello
I understand exactly what you mean. Is your company halfing their management? If they are we both work for same organisation! Dates ,terms and conditions match exactly.
I've opted for the VR route0
