Direct Line could, but this would be dependant on the conviction or you could try
UNLOCK (the National Association of Reformed Offenders) are a independent charity who will help people with unspent convictions to obtain insurance. They provide a list of brokers who are able to quote for a range of insurances.

What was the date of conviction, how old was your husband on the date of conviction and what fine/sentence was imposed? I only ask because it may be that the conviction is "spent" anyway and thus would not need to be disclosed0
