My aunt just phoned to say that when she went to her pc last night, AVG had a warning of her files infected with Trojan Pakes. She said that AVG offered her a couple of things to do, but it didn’t remove this Trojan. She shut the pc down.
Is there a removal tool for this Trojan; or should she do something with AVG to remove this? I don’t use AVG, so I don’t really know what is offered.
Thanks.

RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

Use Malwarebytes, will remove automatically rather than the instructions in the link above.

Many thanks both of you.
A full scan on AVG this morning seem to clear it: although the Trojan pakes warning came up again during that scan; with only 4 infected files instead of the 7 it found yesterday. The scan then finished and said it was clear. Ran full scan again, and nothing detected.
I assume that the pc is clear now and no need to run the above; or is it?
Thanks.
BTW, love the name HoofeHearted:rotfl:
Named after the racehorse I assume.;)RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.
