Halifax Missing money - HELP

Please help me....

I recently opened a new halifax easycash account. I wanted to withdraw money from paypal, so I added this as my account and withdrew the money - I withdrew £85, a few days later £60 and yesterday £50.

Yesterday I checked the Halifax account online and the £85 was in there - was the first transcation on the account.

I went on this moning to check if any other payments had gone in and yes the £60 had BUT the record of the £85 has completly disappeared from the account and my balance is showing as £60 - should be £145.

I phoned them straight away but all they have said that the £85 had never gone in as they have no record of it. It did go in, I saw it, I had a balance of £85 all day yesterday, but they are saying that it never went in and will not listen. I am not seeing things, both me and my partner checked the account yesterday and £85 was in there but today there is no record of it ever going in or ever going out. I am at my witts end here, cannot afford to lose that money, had been selling little things on ebay in order to make up for money I lost from Farepak. It just looks like they have taken the money away and wiped all records of this. I have a Paypal printout showing the transaction Completed from my Paypal account on the 8th but they wont aceept this as proof. It was there yesterday! What can I do! All they said is when I asked to speak to soemone higher is that they will look again and trace the account but will take days, and it will more than likely come back with same conclusion as "money cannot disappear from accounts without any record of it".

Any one help?

The only thing I can suggest is try and contact Paypal. It may be an error there end. And also go into your local branch of Halifax (if possible) to see if they can be more help to you there.

Good luck, I hope you get it sorted.

show paypal your bank statement....if some one claimed to send you money, and you didn't receive it, I think you should contact the one who sent you money rather than the bank. Don't even mention that you saw that £85 in the account. Just complained paypal. let them sort it out for you.

My theory is, who ever sent you the £85 didnt have enough money in there account, the transaction showed but when it came to transfering funds, it faild.
