Trade paint...is this a silly question?

What's the differance between trade paint & normal retail paint? I'm a bit confused...

dulux trade paint is better than dulux. Mainly better coverage, hence it costs a bit morego on, adopt a greyhound

Thanks for that. A friend was talking about it the other day & she thought 'trade' paint was like 'value' products. I'd never used/seen it so I didn't know.0 -
Trade paints are harder to use, but go further if you know what you are doing.0

Do you have to water them down? I've never done this before, but read a few people on here say that it's a good idea. I'd heard about it on newly plastered walls but that was all. I hate doing woodwork, would trade eggshell/gloss/satinwood be any better to use?0 -
you dont water down the paint, even if its trade.
you water down for the first coat on new plaster (called a mist coat), by about 30%. Use matt non vinyl.go on, adopt a greyhound

Trade paints are generally better in coverage than retail. top tip glidden paint is the trade are of dulux and the only other brand they make, generally cheaper too, see our dulux trade centre0
