Morning everyone. Day 50 of not smoking, which is a decent milestone I guess.

Hospital appointment this morning, but just routine nothing to worry about.

I didnt get chance to post yesterday, so first an update on yesterday.

I'd stayed in York overnight on Monday for work, so got to eat out at the company's expense. Consequently yesterday was a NSD as breakfast and lunch were both provided, and OH had kindly bought bread and milk ready for when I got home.

I stripped the hotel room of all tea, coffee and sugar (and there were a few biscuits this week too :)) and the toiletries , then just as I was leaving, I also picked up the spare toilet roll too. Is that really bad? :rotfl:

Arrived back home to find a cheque from the Inland Revenue due to overpayment of tax :j. £55, - would have preferred it to have been hundreds of course, but it really made my day. Off to the bank now to pay it in before they tell me they've made a mistake! :D

    Today I will/have:

    Showered using hotel toiletries
Park as close as I can to the hospital where there is still free parking then walk the rest of the way
Check online banking and set up some payments and overpayments ready to go out on Friday when I get paid
    Made sandwiches for work
Charge my phone on the train
    LSD
    Dinner from stores

Hugs to all that need them
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done

  • Morning all

Thanks to Pixie for starting us off. Hope we are all well? Sun is shining today and its hump day :j

    Today I will:
Charge ipod and mobile at work
    Check bank balance
    Check online surveys
    Read MSE email
    Have homemade lunch
    Have homemade dinner
Prepare soup for the rest of the week
Do daily clicks - they can't be daily clicks, if I do them sporadically!!!

Well done Karb on 50 days with out a cigarette :T

littlekel - I am sure you have done fine on your exam. All our fingers were crossed for you. So I'm sure that would have done the trick ;)

    Have a great day
    xx

Morning everyone. Haven't been here for a few days but lots has happened!

    Today/last night, I

    • Checked OnePoll
    • Took lunch into work
    • Will cook sweet potato soup with leftovers (should be about 4 portions)
    • Bought my wedding dress! :) The gown I wanted (fell in love with the picture and the dress itself when I tried it on) had been discountinued but the store let me buy the sample for 75% less!!
    • Purchased home insurance through OnePoll Cashback and got £70.
    • Will budget for next month (get paid on Wednesday)
    • Paid off my last credit card! :) It was quite a hefty bill so might need to dip into it next month but it will defo be paid off the month after.
    • Will also look into doing boot sales. I've got so many clothes to sell and am not really getting on with eBay.
Hope everyone's having a good day!
  • Morning all!
At last an empty house! The last of the visitors have just gone home:j Now all I need to do is clean the bombsite that is my house:o

Not a lot planned for today...
    • Clean whole house
    • Do one load of washing and dry naturally
    • Tea from stores - veggie pasta and garlic bread
    • Just taken some bagels out of the freezer for lunches for the rest of the week
    • Made mum some sandwiches to have in the car on the way home to save them service station prices
    • Take dog to the park for a good run around
    • Maybe do some marking if I get bored
    • Check banks
    • Buy sister birthday present with Amazon vouchers earned from surveys
    • Do meal plan for next week - have tons in so hopefully the shopping this weekend will be minimal
    • Do nails - they're in a right state
    That's all for today

LittleKel - if everyone found the exam really hard they may adjust the grade boundaries? Don't worry there is hope!
  • Morning all :)

    So far I've:

    - checked online banking
    - checked for/done some surveys
    - laundry on airer
    - heating off
    - spent 3 hours finishing off financial filing - opening and collating the remainder of the cc/bank statements about which I'd buried my head in the sand (no surprises now, because I know exactly what's going on with it), shredding super old bank statements etc. Now "all" I have to tackle is the rest of the filing  (not today though!)
    - lunch on leftovers for me
    - packed lunches for the rest of the family
    - v. quick dinner from stores/menu - manic Wednesday evening as usual
    - SHOULD be a NSD :j

Hope everyone has a good day :)

Thank you all for your kind comments! Fingers crossed! Though i have ALWAYS been confident when i have come out of every exam on this course so far...until this one!

Nothing i can do now so need to wait 6 weeks for results

Welsh - The pass mark is set to about 80% but the AAT do say if a lot of people haven't done very well then they do lower the boundaries!!

I will happily forget about it for a minute and now concentrate on 2 tax exams and my 4000 project on chances/opportunity for fraud in my own workplace! Exciting stuff!! LOL xxx

I didn't realise you were doing AAT (I don't post often but I do read the boards everyday) I'm currently doing CIMA ... Good luck with the results, the exams can be sooo tough but really worth it in the end!

Hey Fillyfop (i wrote that as Flip Flop first of all :o)

Yeah i am in my last year. Just did my financial performance exam - remembering the variance calculations was the worse.

Still deciding whether to do CIMA or ACCA - completely unsure!!

    How are you finding CIMA?
