Cheap hotel for 1 night between Bristol & exeter

I am travelling to Newquay in August and want to stop over for the night some where just off the M5 (To break the journey up).Does anybody have any good tips of cheap places to stay. Two Families of four are travelling and the budget is Around £50.

We always stop at the Travelodge Cribbs Causeway at Bristol, roughly about £45-£50 per night. Its in a good location as a pub & restaurant next door, across the road is a cinema & bowling alley & a huge shopping centre. We travel as 3 adults & 1 child & the lodge always allows us to stay in 1 room.

Keep an eye on the travelodge website,you may be able to get a room for £26 or even less.
