Aviva - Which bit of "Do not call us" do you not understand?

Shopping around for car insurance. Went through the usual comparison websites, and also Aviva.
We checked the boxes to say do not contact us by phone, email or post. However, 10 minutes later the phone rings. Its Aviva, asking us what we thought of the quote and did we want to go ahead with the policy.
So my wife told him that their quote was nearly three times higher than than the cheapest, and asked why Aviva had telephoned us despite us asking them not to when getting the quote.
His response to this: Telling her that she was a timewaster and hung up on her!!

For this reason, I rarely put my actual telephone number on quotes. It can always be corrected later if you go ahead with them...0

I always use a spare sim card phone number and a throw away email address when getting quotes then update the one I choose to buy with correct details, gets around non stop phone calls and year round emails.

I always wonder if that number is assigned to anyone (01234 is the area code for Bedford I believe, so it is feasible)
You can use a number beginning with 01632 to be on the safe side (it's reserved by Ofcom for use in film and TV)
If I remember correctly, it's the number for the Autoglass head office...0 -
01234 567890 is deliberately not allocated0
