Lovefilm Changes Payment Date !

Warning to anyone who is thinkng of joining them or is on a free trail.
I signed up for lovefilms free 60 day trail. Checked 1st payment date which was 22/2/11. Emailed to confirm this. Cancelled my account on the 12/2/11. When checking my bank noticed they had taken £18.99 on the cancellation date, emailed them and was told all they could do was reactivate my account as the payment was for next months membership fee, they never answered my query as to why the date change. Ended up calling them, spoke to a manager who tried to get me off the phone by telling me I'd called the wrong dept (I had not) then was told they cannot refund ! Ended up getting a refund after telling the lady I was taking this further as I'm sure it must be breaking some banking code by changing a payment date with out notification and that I had an email from them stating payment was due on 22nd. Suddenly she decides I'm at correct dept and issues the Refund.
Annoyed at the fact they think they can try to do this people !

I'm having the exact same problem. I have called and e-mailed repeatedly but all I get is some guy with a made up name telling me there is nothing they can do. Can you tell me what number you phoned to be able to speak to a manager? And if that was UK based? It is isn't a large amount of money, but as you say it is theft. cheers0
