Dont know if it will help or not(should do if you were mis sold) take a look here and see if you can reclaim mis sell of ppi.

I know that doesnt help much for now , but at least you may have an option here.0 -
Well done that was really brave of you!
Considering you're going to struggle to pay it for two months, I wonder if now is the time to go back to payplan, or CCCS?
Looking at your statement of affairs , and taking into account you said it was rough, and you'd missed a credit card off, it seems like this will be an ongoing struggle for you :-( One month off sick really messes things up for you. What do you think?

OMG, so in retrospect as you have PPI and not realised it when you became redundant you could have claimed, and the loan be wiped? Am I understanding thats what PPI is for? Ever since i first had a loan, i've never taken out the PPI again, especially as they dont just add it on after, they add the cost on before, so your paying interest on the PPI cover too! You poor thing, Good luck! Maybe worth speaking to someone, even if DMP isnt the path you want to take, they may beable to advise you about another?0

Have you contacted the PPI people & asked if you can back claim for the period you weren't working?Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
Can i do that??? whats the best thing to do? leave the PPi on and try to claim? cancel the PPI and try to claim or ask for it beck from when i wasnt working??
god ive got no clue here!Living the simple life0 -
If you're going to try and claim, don't cancel the PPI! PPI stands for 'Payment Protection Insurance' - usually it insures you against having to pay when you lose your job (or other similar change in circumstances, depends on the policy) and can't. I don't actually know how you claim, though - hopefully someone else will be able to give more helpful info!0

You have a claim for mis sell as you did not know you had it or you would have made a claim. Look at the link i gave you and get your claim in. Do not cancel the ppi, as your loan will be redone without ppi and this will increase your term and apr, see what happens if you win mis sell. The ppi total will be taken off your loan balance, you will pay the ppi monthly amount less on your loan, any ppi paid to date you get back. Thanks guys - i am going to look at getting the PPi back i dont know if i cancel the PPi off now - i honestly didnt realise it was there - i got made redundant last year and didnt even claim as thought i didnt have it! im hoping to get by with out a payment plan although it is something im looking at tbh i just want to get on track i need to sort things out but until i see some real numbers im not sure where im at
