No Claims Discount Question: Last UK insurance 4 years old, foreign vehicle since

Hi Folks -

I'd be grateful if somebody could direct me towards an insurer who will recognize my donkey's years of NCD although my last renewal notice from a UK insurer is about 4 years old.

I have continuous renewal notices from a German insurance for another vehicle (I have a place over there as well), but they won't provide an English language confirmation - which all the insurance companies here seem to want.

I am awaiting delivery of a new UK registered car and have come unstuck on this as without any NCD the cost of insurance more than doubles for me.

The insurance companies seem to want an original on headed paper, a mere translation does not appear to be good enough ...

See if a local broker (not swinton) can help (if not by finding someone to accept the NCD, they may be still be able to get you an introductory discount to reflect your history).
