hi my mrs was made unemployed from a shop along with 25 others they cloed just one brance and have several others trading throughout the country, she was promised her redundancy money of £300 and also hoilday pay she has had her holiday pay but no redundancy money she even had a letter saying the exact amount she was owed for this, but after 2 months and several calls still no cheque.
Is there an organisation that will sort this out for her?
i remeber a someone telling that this company takes over the chasing and takes them to a small claims court on your behalf for free, with much better success.
Live in west wales if this matters..

I think this is probably a relatively simple employment tribunal claim.
you have 3months less a day to start the claim

The starting point is an ET1
But you might need to do a final letter0 -
ET is the right way to go. As there were 25 redundancies, did they go through a formal consultation? Must have been a minimum of 30 days. This will have been either with the union or elected representatives.
If this was not the case, then she would also have a claim for 90 days wages for failing to follow the correct procedure.

Have you tried contacting ACAS?The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

You will need to consider making an Employment Tribunal claim - You have 6 months less 1 day to make the claim for Redundancy Pay - Make sure you don't miss this deadline.
You should put your demand for payment in writing to the company as a grievance and await a response before you make your ET claim.
ACAS or your local CAB will be able to help you complete the ET1 form.0 -
There is a suggestion on this page http://www.employmenttribunals.gov.uk/FAQ/faqs.htm that you should contact the Redundancy Payments Service if you are having difficulty getting your former emplyer to pay you, although it's not clear if this only applies after a tribunal ruling has been made in your favour.0
