need help with ccj (me claimant)

hello there, i am an electrician and need a little help,

i done some electricial works at an adress for a previous customer who up till recently paid on time every time!.

she asked me to carry out some work for her at anouther adress which we did, and she was satisfied the work was done and completed, however she refuses to pay after i sent her a reminder, she stated that the work which we done was not at her adress and someone elses.

it turns out after investigation by myself that she is the director of the company at this adress but says that the buissness is in a diffrent account called account no2 ( i previosly worked for account no1 ehich was all ok)if u know what i mean.

anyway i preced with a ccj after 3 letters to her but her defence is that is noting to do with her even though she authorised the works and as i said is the director of the company i worked for.

she has defulted on the ccj i issued i assume, but is it worth me going to court over, and on the information given what do you think wioll be her defence?

aparently she does this quite alot ive just found out!, flamin just my luck.

thanks in advance,
andy:mad:

  • If the CCJ has been issued in your favour, check with the court. Then send in a firm of bailiffs.

Their costs will be added to what she owes you.

The only reason people do this is they know a lot of businesses especially small ones will not want the hassle of chasing it to the very end.

    Prove her wrong.

The fact that work was not at her address has nothing to do with it, I would assume you have quotes etc signed off by her agreeing terms and work to be done, her defence is laughable.

Take her to court, I have just submitted 5 clients of mine that owe over £9,000 together to: http://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/ for £50 each client. If they dont turn up, I get my money plus interest and the £50 and they get a CCJ on there name, prooving very hard for them to get credit anywhere untill they pay it.
    Kind Regards
    Bill
