its conditional selling and shouldnt ve allowed if you ask me.
the way it works is that if you have an offer accepted then you get a futher 1000 quid back if you use connell mortgage services and choosen solicitors.
steer well clear. make sure they know any offer is subject to you using your own mortgage advisor and solsI am a Mortgage Adviser

Connells wouldn't get our business. We went in to enquire about a property, and they wouldn't hand anything over without our names, address, contact numbers and email. We stated we were in this country for a very limited time, and only looking for 2 more days, if we didn't find anything that was it; they wouldn't succumb, and got quite indignant, it ended up in an argument and we walked out. The worst experience of any EA we spoke to.
Sorry I didn't answer your question.0 -
Yeh, we went in to enquire about places they had in their window. When we flatly refused to speak to their mortgage shark they claimed they had no suitable properties on their books. This while there were at least a dozen potential candidates advertised in the windows right there in the office!Mortgage debt - [STRIKE]£8,811.47 [/STRIKE] Paid off!0

Be smart - and always use a Lexcel accredited Lawfirm to do your conveyancing - http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/productsandservices/lexcel.page - just click here and put the Town where you want to select a conveyancer - http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/choosingandusing/findasolicitor.law - heck even the Law Society warns people against their own kind (solicitors) and to choose Lexcel too.My posts are just my opinions and are not offered as legal advice - though I consider them darn fine opinions none the less.:cool2:
My bad spelling...well I rush type these opinions on my own time, so sorry, but they are free.:o0 -
As someone pointed out elsewhere, as a legal professional (and apparently a competitor to Connells), you are aware of the libellous implications of what you say here, aren't you?0
