Where to put £2626.50 for a month or so?

I will receive a payment of £2626.50 at the end of the month, an advance for my travel seaosn ticket, which I purchase on a Tesco credit card to get £13 in clubcard vouchers.

In addition, as I pay for the season ticket with a credit card the money stays in my account from 30 Nov until 8 Jan, when the statement is due. Im looking for the best place to store the cash to get a months interest at least.

What would be my best option to get the maximum amount of interest? Ive not been too pleased with ICICI so should I go for ICESAVE 5.45%? Do they pay interest monthly?

Or is there a better option with a notice account, say 30 days, as I know the precise date I will need to pay the money off my credit card. I am up to my max on my ISA allowance so that is not an option although I did think I could ask my wife to open one and transfer the money across.

Grateful for any advice.

There are no better options with a notice account.

Don't worry about whether the interest is paid monthly or annually. If you close the account you get the interest at that time.

But you can ask IceSave to pay interest monthly if you want to keep the account open.
