remove dividing wall

Hi
i,d like to remove a dividing wall between kitchen & living room

the wall is 3'' breeze with sand & cement rendering

the joists on both sides run parallel with the wall so is not a retaining wall

however the wall goes straight up to the 1st floor and divides a bedroom & bathroom

the question is will the wall stay put or will it sag i thought of bolting the two joists together to sndwich the uper wall tight but this might
cause them to sag as well.

any suggestions

you might get away with double joists, but id certainly use an RSJ.
    Get some gorm.
  • it dosn,t support the roof as the wall stops when it enters he lost space

a builder suggested knocking both wall down and rebuilding the t wall in stud work with plastrboard
    which would be much lighter
can you get a 4'' wide 10 ft rsj ?
