Redundancy Scenario

Hi Folks,
In Feb 2009 my old company announced that every employees' job was now "at risk" of redundancy. They also stated that by the summer of 2009, the entire company would be closed down and all work taken into the head office. Therefore I would be made redundant in the summer of 2009.
Now, as I'd been there since I was just 16 the first 2 years wouldn't have counted in my package. I wasn't earning mega bucks and was only in my 7th year of employment with them so I decided rather than riding a sinking ship, I would just find myself another job. Which I successfully did within a week and it was a bonus as I was earning much more than I ever did before!
My question, I had received a Redundancy breakdown which highlighted how much I would be paid in the summer of 2009 however I terminated my contract in March 2009 and left the company. As the employer had confirmed that I would be out of a job in the summer of 2009, would I still technically be entitled to any payments as such?
I know this may seem like a simple question but I'm just really after closure and any suggestions you may have.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, I'll be open to any questions/pointers you may have.
Regards,
Justin

Agree with Gordon,
"however I terminated my contract in March 2009 and left the company."

Hi folks,
Thanks for your responses. It was definitely worth asking as redundancy is a bit of a grey area at times.
Thanks once again!0
