Halifax One Credit Card not Viewable Online Anymore

Hi I have just had a shock when I went to check my Halifax One Credit Card on the online banking service today. The online banking service has changed up until last week I could view both my bank account & credit card then this week it has changed to just my bank account. Now I froze the Halifax One account about 18 months back when they wanted to rate jack it by about 10%. So obviousley I was not having any of that but it also gave me the ability to check the account when I wanted to make sure everything was paid what the interest being paid the next month is & that nothing fraudulent was happening with account.

Anyway I went to re-add the card to my online account today as it had disapeared for it to tell mr the credit card account had been closed so couldn't be added. Next I phoned up credit card services who informed me that although the account is still open for payment as per the agreement of freezing the interest the new online banking system sees it as closed & their is nothing they can do about it.

So in implementing this new system online they have gone backwards with their customer services with some accounts.

  • Hi there, I have a relative that works for the halifax and they have been told that a lot of features have been removed as they update the online service over the next 18monts but eventually you will be able to view the account again, A pain in the bum I know!

    I'm having the same problem today. I think I may be due interest on my statement next month so will have to phone. I closed my account not too long ago.

    Have you tried re-adding it?

    0845 602 0000 if that's failed.

    Don't have the card number unfortunately, my account was closed a while ago after I cleared the balance - though I'm sure I'll still owe interest next statement.

    I can look to see if I have any statements with the number on it and give that a try. Will let you know if it re-adds or not.

    EDIT: It says "Closed accounts can not be added to My accounts.".
