I going down the route of bankruptcy, got my forms to fill out and take so still in the early stages but I was wondering if I would still be able to work for the NHS. I want to train to be a midwife in a few years, is this one of the jobs that would be a no go?

Doesn't look like it would be a problem0 -

I changed jobs while bankrupt, and started work for the NHS (patient facing). I had to have the full Criminal Records Bureau checks*, but not one check (nor one question) relating to my bankruptcy.
I was still terrified (from the moment of sending in the application until I'd been there for a couple of months) that someone would call me or tap me on the shoulder and say, "Sorry, we can't take you on/let you stay". Of course, it never happened, and I'm as happy as a pig in the proverbial in my new job.
Good luck with your studies
*Before anyone misunderstands my point, I'm not suggesting that bankruptcy is one of the checks the CRB do, just trying to get the point across that with all the 'suitability/liability' checks involved with working in a job dealing with children and vunerable adults, having a poor credit rating isn't one of themVSP Challenge 2014 #??? - £9.970 -

The post Tigerfeet was asking to be spammed was removed. It was some obscure advert for cabbage soup diet and was posted directly after Iquit's post.0 -
