Photograph's question
My question is if i upload them to my netbook into a folder, can i then send the whole folder to my e-mail account.
If so, how is it done, or if not what is my best option. I am not that techie minded, so please keep any answers easy:D

Yes you can, or look into some free email accounts that give you storage space as well, so you can back them up to the web as well.0

If you have a netbook with a card reader/writer, or if you connect the camera to the netbook as a USB device, then
Take multiple memory cards.
Copy photos from one memory card to another to back them up
Put the backup card(s) in an envelope, and post them home.
You could even take two backups and post them separately if you're really paranoid....
Or copy them to USB memory stick(s) and post them home.0 -
I would take a few different memory sticks and have all the files on each. I think my hotmail account has something called skydrive that you can use for storage, 10gb i think, but i reckon just having a second memory card would be the easiest way of going0

If you're going to have net access, just use a file hosting site such as Mediafire.
Copy the pictures to your netbook, upload to the host then download when you get home. Pretty much the same as you were going to do with your email, but less restriction on folder size and (in most cases) considerably faster.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.

If you have the net access, I agree with WhiteChristmas. Something like Flickr would be ideal
Just opent he account (free) before you go and set up a private friends only by invite kind of area on there (easy to do and they have full instructions), then you can simply upload them pics to there, and no one will be able to access them unless you grant them permissionThere are 10 kinds of people that understand binary

You can only upload so many per day to Flikr and there is a limit to the number that will be displayed. If you have the net access, I agree with WhiteChristmas. Something like Flickr would be ideal

Picasa web albums. Or dropbox. Or as previously mentioned, skydrive
Or imgur in fact.
However,
not if you pay £30 for flickr premium (thats for 12 months)You can only upload so many per day to Flikr and there is a limit to the number that will be displayed.0 -

If you will be taking a lot of pictures and they are of any significant size, they will take an age to upload to wherever you choose.
Take multiple memory cards and/or USB sticks and copy the images over. Give the copy to somebody else or keep them apart from the camera and netbook. Totally agree with the memory card/USB option. When I visit my daughter in Australia I take hundreds of pictures. At the end of each day a few minutes are spent uploading them to the netbook I take with me AND copying them over to a 4GB USB stick (I take a couple of these too). I also take 2 pictures of everything (yeah I know) as I've found 1 one them will usually turn out as I want it to.Do I Need It ? .......... Do I Want It? ..........
