American Land Cress - growing/sprouting it indoors?
This type of cress seems to be the easiest seed to grow and maintain but tends to "take over" the whole garden. Due to its peppery and hot taste, I do not enjoy a big helping at any one time. Boiling or dehyydrating it is okay but maybe you loose a lot of the nutrients? Consequently, I collected as many of these seeds as possible last autumn and am now wondering whether anybody has tried growing/sprouting it (for sprouts) indoors? What results did you get?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I don't know, I just grow mine in a pot in the garden. It likes the shade, so grow it in areas others won't grow well in.
I normally sow some in March, but you could sow some now, I don't see why it wouldn't grow inside, although I've never tried it.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
Thanks Lotus-eater - Yes, of course, you've reminded me I did relocate some into pots last year. It seems like I collected thousands of these seeds last year so thought it might be more simplistic to reduce the crop by eating some of them as sprouts.
Last year, by putting the seeds on a dampened paper towl wasn't that successful. It would be better if they would sprout in jars as I also have quite a lot of these. However, I think for supermarket-type cress seeds, you cannot use this method?0
