Two Enquiries are asking for the views of those disabled and living in the UK

For anyone interested in getting involved with these:

.........Your chance to have a voice evidence of rights abuse
There are two calls for your story about the way disabled people are being treated in this country and the abuse of the rights of the disabled.

First, there is to be a Parliamentary Inquiry into "The Implementation of the Rights of Disabled People to Independent Living" by the Joint Committe on Human Rights.

Second, the UKDPC has asked disabled people to submit any story about how the UK government is treating disabled people and how their human rights have been abused for a report to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Person with Disabilities.

Far better than many other countries is my answer. You won't find yourself getting a few hundred quid a week, free equipment from social services and laws to prevent discriminations in pretty much the whole of Asia, former soviet bloc, South American countries etc....

What few hundred quid per week and free equipment? The only free equipment I've been given is a guide cane. Anything like magnifiers, I have to buy myself.
