Mailchimp

Does anyone use mailchimp?

My question is:

When the emails arrives in subscribers mailboxes does it contain anyreference to mailchip or is it totally 'white label'?
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

I don't personally use it, but I get some MailChimp emails. There's a discreet box with the MailChimp name / logo in it. But I had to go and check, so it doesn't scream at you. This is from two different organisations.

If you know how to code, then you can just download the templates and change the parts you want. Once you've got the initial colour/design changes then it's only a case of writing the new content in a box.

I done this for someone and just marked where they could/couldn't write.

And the best thing about doing it this way is that it's free.

Isn't that contrary to the terms of use?

I've just looked at their site and it's changed quite a bit from when I last used it (3 years ago).

They actually offered a set of 4 templates which you could do as you wished with for nothing.

Isn't the point of Mailchimp that it somehow avoids getting your email blacklisted for sending a lot of emails at once. Using their template and sending emails yourself defeats the point, doesn't it?
