Hi
I'm looking for some advice regarding claiming on my home insurance for my phone which i dropped from my landing onto my stone floor in the hallway
I was just wondering if I can claim as I have accidental damage cover?? My insurance is with LV.
Any help would be much appreciated

I can tell you that my insurance company - Direct Line - did indeed cover my phone when one of my children dropped it and it started buzzing on all phone calls.
As a matter of order I checked with them when I first got it as overall it worked out cheaper to pay my £25 accidental damage excess than the monthly insurance initially quoted when I first bought the iPhone. And Apple wanted £150 just to sneeze in its direction as it was "144 days out of warranty" (yes, that's exactly how they said it).
As of about 3 weeks ago I'm now the proud owner of an HTC Desire HD as the iPhone wasn't suiting me - courtesy of my insurance.

Thanks a lot for that. I'll give them a ring tomorrow and see what the score is.
Thanks again

Bear in mind that some insurers will exclude accidental damage to personal posessions (which includes mobile phones) unless you have personal posessions cover.0
