Thermostatic radiator valve, wax or liquid?

Hi
I am in the process of renovating a house and I'm going to replace the central heating. When I looked at thermostatic valves for the radiators, it seens the choice is roughly between wax or liquid based ones. AAny idea which one is better?
Many thanks

Liquid are usually better. Look at the Drayton TRV4.0

Thank you both.
So, liquid based are the ones to go for.1984ReturnsForReal wrote: »I would worry more about the make

I am interested to know as well. I heard Drayton are good ones, what about all the others? Danfoss - are these any good? I am considering getting Danfoss Randall RAS-D2, as I am looking for chrome one (don't want a white one for the new black radiator).
I have also seen online some Abacus Ultima TRVs, which look quite pricey, but nice... Never heard of them before though - but that means nothing, as I have never looked for ones before!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
