There is a way to download them, and I think they do prevent you from downloading them. ... Google it and the instructions will come up.0

Go and have a look at:

you'll be able to download any vids from youtube, however the format will be flv, which is a flash media player file, so you will then need a video convertor to change the format to MP4, wmv etc etc.

I use firefox and the add on called videodownloader

i've used video downloader too. Works a treat :-)0

VideoDownloader is great.
And you can use GoogleVideo with it, and download directly to avi, and MPEG4, as well as the usual crappt FLV. If it's on GoogleVideo, it will save you converting it
