Hi there,
I took out a loan with the Halifax in 2004 and I remember the lady telling me that despite the fact that I had just started a new job (permanent contract with the NHS, I'm still in the same job
) I would need the PPI. Convinced I took it out. The loan was due to be paid off last year but i borrowed more on it in 2008 and will now have paid up by 2013. I extended the loan over the phone and the guy asked if I wanted to cont with the PPI so I just said yes without him explaining so dunno if this is bad on my part or theirs? So all in all there is a lot of PPi there!
I can't find the paperwork anywhere but wrote about month ago to the branch that I originally took the loan out from but have so far had no response which is not a good start! Do you think I could visit the bank in person and ask for it face to face? Also does anyone have any tips? I know that getting the money back is not guaranteed but would be really useful if I did!
Thanks in advance
Rach.
