    you haven't made a fashion faux- pas, Parliament are just full of drossy boring old farts! As mush as I love brogues, I think it's good to make a statement with your shoes, so don't worry about it!!!

  • Even worse, those don't look too well made... Glued soles oh dear. Your £35 would have been better spent buying a pair of welted shoes second hand and getting a shoe repairer to give them a good servicing...

    Nice pension/annuity faux pas on TV this morning by the way. People look at you as the money expert Martin, so if you're going to comment on pensions at least get the basics right. It's no wonder people are so often misinformed.

    Thanks for the rather agressive note. Wasn't aware I made a faux pas on annuities this morning, so if I did it could've only been a verbal slip rather than anything more - one of the consequences of doing live TV. What was it?
