Nectar points or £41.

My brother is coming to the end of his fixed tariff and the best deal he can get is with EDF at £1063.
BG is £41 more expensive and he will get nectar points, he already has a nectar card but will the nectar points be worth £41?
BG £1105 plus nectar points.
I am doing this for him as he does not have an internet connection

Depends on how many nectar points are being offered.
But a bird (or in this case a pound) in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Have you checked out the cashback sites for any possible bungs from them?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... BG only gives you 1800 points pre a year, which less than £20.0 -

I will recommend EDF to him then.0 -
If you sign up to Sainsburys Energy (which is BG now anyway) they pay up to 10000 points (£50) a year apparently (saw a leaflet at the checkout yesterday)Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0

(When did Sainsbury's ditch EDF? What happened to customers on the EDF flavour of Sainsbury's energy? Are their contracts with EDF switched to British Gas? left with EDF but bumped from Sainsbury's? maintained with both on a confusing legacy contract?)0

It was EDF the endded it contract with Nectar and Sainsbury's as it was to costly, seeing as EDF had to pay commission twice, first to sainsbury's then to the sales agent. Meaning the price raise would have been even higher.
All off EDF Sainsbury's customers will switch to EDF branding as of 31/01.
Hope this helps.0 -
EDF is £1063
BG with Nectar points is £1105
and Sainsbury with 10,000 Nectar points is £1292 a difference of £229 for 10,000 Nectar points.
Still EDF comes out top.0
