Credit checks and rating?

What will my credit check and rating be like if i apply for a loan?
Not had much dealings with banks apart from taking a loan out a year ago, apart from that, my wages go in, and i withdraw. Paid the loan repayments 46/47 times on time, with the only exception being paid back within the week and the charge with it.
Does that mean if i apply for another loan with another bank, my credit check rating should be good?
When i applied for the initial loan, i had no history with banks and still got approved, so not sure how they found a credit rating from that?
