Hi All,
After spending 2 hours in a local A&E dept I came back to find a parking ticket.. But where i had parked i thought was classed a private land. So im hoping someone on here can confirm or tell me i was wrong. I was parked on the entrance to a closed down pertol station. The part where the ramps drop down onto the pavement. From What i understand when kerbs are dropped they belong to the land owner and the ticket i was given was for parking in a restricted zone(i.e double yellow lines) nut my understanding because i wasnt parked on the road side of these lines it doesnt count??..
Am i right or wrong in what im thinking

It sounds like you are wrong in what you are thinking. If it's a PCN (issued by a LA CEO), it will have an 'offence' code. Can you tell us what it is? It is likely that you have parked still with the carriageway and as such any yellow lines will apply. For example the carriageway will include any footpath or verges up to a boundary with private land which is normally a wall or fence. Most turnings off the road will still be within the carriageway untill they have passed the width of the pavement. If you can provide the location, i'll take a look on street view and see what we are taliking about.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. The DYL runs from the centre of the road to the fence/wall/boundary! So if the PCN is correct then you cant appeal on that!
Post on Pepipoo scan the front and back of the PCN there could well be other things to appeal on! http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=300 -
Just I suspected. Esmerobbo beat me to it! Unless there is a flaw in the PCN and this is where you were parked i'm afraid the PCN has been correctly issued.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0
