hello Andy, how's your recently 'bereaved' daughter? I hear you've gone over to Mumsnet to troll over there.0

This makes me laugh ...Could you not pretend to be him?
After all, if someone with the correct details writes to them how do they know who it is?
Then cancel the direct debit.
Andy, pretending to be someone else? What an original idea! :rotfl:Gone ... or have I?0 -

Though at least the scenario, though outlandish, is actually plausible. In Glasgow, a woman went to the Sheriff Court when her social housing landlord was seeking to evict her for rent arrears. The judge was aware that she'd won tens of thousands of pounds on the bingo and asked her why she hadn't paid her rent "Because the social stopped my housing benefit". True story.0

Very clever that, do you watch out for them coming with no previous postings.
It just makes you feel sorry for the genuine newies with problems.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I doubt Jowo made their comment based on the fact that the OP is a newbie. andyandflo's AEs are obvious by their subject matter, posting style etc.Gone ... or have I?0 -

Actually, though I've got plenty of free time and like this forum, I've got better things to do than spend my time consciously trawling for sad trolls who are desperate for any kind of social interaction and need to provoke it.
I share your anxiety that one day there will be a genuiine newby whose tone, wording and attitude is so similar to our dead fave poster that we will inadvertently scare them off.
Who knows if it is a new troll pretending to imititate our resident troll? An enigma wrapped up in a yawn, wrapped up in an even bigger yawn.
So why don't I entertain the readers of this thread with another true anecdote that I came across reading a publication in Glasgow that covered the housing cases in the local court?
A woman defendent appeared before the Sheriff at an eviction hearing who had significant rent arrears (yes, we really do have Sheriffs in Scotland though they don't wear 10 gallon hats). The judge was baffled about the extent of her arrears because she had 4 adult children living with her. It transpired that she took little or no board from them.
The Sheriff postponed the possession notice and instructed her that she should tell her non-dependents that the future of living in the family home depended on them making better contributions to the rent.
These Sheriffs seem to have a lot of patience with non paying social housing tenants. I think the rules around their security of tenure means its a total last resort. I feel sorry for the landlords who know that their bad tenants don't even need a decent sob story to guarantee the continuation of their tenancies.0 -

No, I've no idea of the username of the alleged MSE troll that migrated to Mumsnet. There was a thread recently posted by someone else who detected an Andy-esque provocative thread on Mumsnet and was trying to find a very similar thread on MSE because there was such a correspondance between them. That particular thread, where Andy was exposed as a troll was taken down by Admin anyway.
Happily my life is too rich and fulfilling to worry about such trifles.
For a masterclass in how to bemuse and wind-up members of forums, have a browse of this spectacular car crash of a thread to see how amateur Andy is by comparison. Absolutely no one understands who is genuine or not. Surreal.
