Title says it all, really. Our 12 year old Candy has finally bitten the dust and I need to buy a new one fairly sharpish.
I'm after recommendations for a reasonable make, not too pricey - say around £350-£400 - with a 50/50 split.
Thanks very much in advance!

Any restrictions on width?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Current one is 60cm, so no restriction on width...

I would decide on height and capacity aswell and whether you want frost free or not. Funnily enough a true 50/50 spilt in terms on internal capacity will be quite hard to achieve. if you mean a 50/50 split height wise then should be plenty
Decent makes that should be in your budget are Bosch + Siemens. Hotpoint fridges are Ok I believe providing not too many bells and whistles!
Just about to post and say go onto UKwhitegoods forum and ask but see you have already!! Sounds like you are sorted0
